Sam Gardner Wedding Celebrant Portugal

Celebrating Life and Love

I’m a native English celebrant and I create and perform personalised symbolic wedding ceremonies that reflect your unique relationship. I come highly recommended for
bilingual ceremonies in English and Portuguese - but don't just take my word for it,
see Testimonials from some of the couples I've married.

Together, we’ll create the right mixture of sentiment and celebration in a relaxed atmosphere, making the day truly memorable for you, your family and friends.

LGBTQ+ inclusive.

My  Services

I conduct symbolic wedding ceremonies in the Cascais, Lisbon and Mafra areas of Portugal.  Usually, a couple will get legally married in their home country before they come over to Portugal -  a celebrant is not a Registrar and therefore I am unable to conduct a legal ceremony. A symbolic wedding ceremony is a way for couples to celebrate their marriage with their friends and family in the beautiful sunshine and scenery of Portugal and in every way it is what you would expect from a wedding service.

Olivia & Dave

"Sam's words in the ceremony captured the essence and meaning of our wedding and were delivered with warmth and humour. We couldn't have asked for a better celebrant."

Sarah and Ilios

"Sam took the time to have a few calls to get to know us and helped us make a short but lovely ceremony that absolutely fit our personality. On the day, we greatly appreciated the gesture of greeting the guests in Greek and French to make our friends and family feel more welcome.

Her professional yet sweet demeanour helped calm our nerves once we were at the front."

"Sam was the celebrant of our dreams! Friendly and professional throughout the process. The script that she prepared with the help of our friends and family’s comments was perfect - warm, funny, sincere and it felt like we'd known her for years!"
